TEXTUREPACKER IMPORT SPRITE SHEET HOW TO
I tried TexturePacker pro and it rotated some of my images so I wasn't sure how to use them in Unity. I googled around and found 3 solutions, one was that legacy packing thing Unity has, next was the SpriteAtlas which I think replaced the packing tag stuff, and TexturePacker. Then when I made some basic frame by frame animations, I ended up with a bunch of 1k x 1k images and ran into memory /performance issues. I messed up on my art (first time making game art), all my sprites were 1000x1000 because my art tool defaulted the canvas to that size. TexturePacker vs SpriteAtlas (or other method?) So I finished up my very first project on Unity a few weeks ago and now I'm spending a few weeks refining some pipeline issues to make things smoother for my next project and my biggest problems were related to art and animations so I have a few questions if anyone can point me in any direction: r/GameAudio - It may look good, but does it sound good? r/LevelDesign - Learn to make excellent levels and worlds. r/GameDev - Meet and communicate with other game developers. r/PixelArt - Admire, share, and observe beautiful pixel art. unit圓D on 8chan - Unity-focused image board Unity 2D forums Tutorials Filter Wiki List Be familiar with Reddit's Rules, Reddiquette, and Self-Promotion Guidelines. If the content is not related to 2D/2.5D development, it may belong in /r/Unit圓D or /r/GameDev. r/Unity2D is a subreddit for news, tutorials, feedback, resources, and conversations related to 2D or 2.5D game development using the Unity game engine.
